Welcome to the Neural Prosthetics Lab Website

Brain-machine interfaces can assist paralyzed patients by allowing them to operate computers or robots with their neural activity. The goal of my research is to study the strategy the brain uses to plan movements and to investigate ways to use this strategy to optimally drive external devices.

Engineering Lab

The engineering lab is located at the McConnell Engineering Building. Part of the research involves the development of implants for the brain and the body, in addition to the development of computer programs that can be used by paralyzed patients.
